Modi has ‘reasonable’ chance to nurse Kashmir back to health

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s new Kashmir policy has a “reasonable” chance of nursing the strife-torn Himalayan state back to health, Foreign Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar said yesterday, while sharply criticising Pakistan for running an “industry” of terrorism calculated to advance its agenda across the border.

In a wide-ranging interview with The Sunday Times during his ongoing visit to Singapore, Mr Jaishankar spoke at length about what is shaping up to be India’s top foreign policy challenge.
