A minister who acts against false or misleading information on the Internet under will have to give his reasons as to why the information is false, said Minister for Home Affairs and Law K. Shanmugam.
This will be spelt out in the subsidiary legislation of the Protection from Online Falsehoods and Manipulation Act, and is something the Government had intended to do all along, he added.
