New Thai party to replace dissolved Future Forward

A new party will be launched by the remaining Members of Parliament in Future Forward, Thailand’s second-biggest political party popular among young voters, which was dissolved two weeks ago.

Scheduled to be launched today, the new party, now left with only 55 MPs out of the original 81 due mainly to defections to the ruling coalition, will have a new leader – Mr Pita Limjaroenrat, 38, who is three years younger than former Future Forward leader Thanathorn Juangroongruangkit.
